Ian de Vries has been with Jobs West since November 2016, as part of the WorkBC program. With our lead partner Avia Employment Services, Jobs West provides customized employment in Richmond.
During our assessment process, Ian demonstrated his abilities and interest to work in a warehouse environment. With Ian’s involvement in Special Olympics, it was evident Ian enjoys physical activity and building relationships. With the assistance of Jobs West, Ian has completed workshops in resume building and interview skills. This training helped Ian develop confidence to successfully land a position as a Lot Associate at Home Depot.
Ian has been working at Home Depot for nine months. It is always a new and exciting day at Home Depot. Ian is kept busy greeting and assisting customers to find items and helping customers move heavy items from their carts into their cars.
Ian always provides a great customer service experience with his big smile and willingness to help every customer that walks through the door. Awesome work Ian!
